I’ve catched a nasty cold on Tuesday. Thursday it looked that it was getting better but yesterday it got worse. I’m tired all the time, everything I do costs a lot of effort. I didn’t run or do other workouts. I haven’t even walked Bella her daily 30 minute (or more) walks. All I want to do is sleep. It looks a bit better today and hopefully the end of this cold is in sight. I’m taking it easy till Monday, then I’ll try to run again.
We had our yearly work party yesterday. It was in Loosdrecht where you could take a boat ride or/and bowling. I thought about not going because of my cold but my colleagues insisted I would come so I went and would see how it would go. Not to well unfortunately. I didn’t participate in the activities and didn’t eat much (we grilled on a plate at a table). There were some pics taken of me but I don’t think I look that good on them.
Today is my school reunion: class of 1980. Even though I’m not feeling a 100% I do look forward to it. I haven’t seen most of them since I left school and look forward to hear what they have been doing all these years.
I got an email of one of them this week with the question if she could ride with me, she lives in the next town. I had already plans to visit my Mom first because I need to drop of Bella (R. is in Italy for his annual visit to the motor exhibition). The mail was sent to someone else too and it turned out she lives in the same village as I do now, about a 5 minute drive away from me. I moved here 19 years ago, she did 18 years. We might even have seen each other in the past years but we didn’t know. It’s a small world sometimes.
Beebox content week 37:
Butternut pumpkin, carrots, red onion, apple juice, ciabatta bread, parsley, berries, apples, red pepper, tomatoes, eggplant, mozzarella cheese, prumes, eggs. Everything from Dutch farmers.
Tuesday September 10
Codfish from the oven with tomatoes, basil and mozzarella cheese, baked potatoes and carrots. I forgot to take a picture.
Thursday September 12
Pasta with zucchini, ham and a red pasta sauce.
Friday September 13
Pasta with tomatoes and eggplant from one of my Bill Granger cook books. I used the eggplant from the Beebox, grilled it for a couple of minutes with olive oil and sea salt and added it to a can of sliced tomatoes and some garlic. I finished it with some of the parsley from the beebox. It was delicious.
