Summary 2012:
- For the first time in 4 years I end the year at a higher weight than I started with at the beginning of the year. All my numbers are higher at the end of this year. I’m not happy about this and am going to take action, starting Wednesday January 2nd.
- I did more workouts than last year but in less time, mostly because the runs were shorter in 2012. I did 99 runs and 99 other workouts.
- It’s logical that my miles were less than in 2011 because I have had lack of motivation when it came to running and had to start all over again.
- Somewhere this year I decided to keep track of the miles and time I have walked with Bella and I was surprised how many miles we have walked this year. We walked more than I ran.
- Overall this hasn’t been a good year when it comes to weight loss and exercise and it’s time for a change. More about that in my first post of 2013.
I thank you all my dear blogger friends for reading my blog in 2012, for being my internet friend and giving me support when I needed it. I hope you stick around to see what 2013 brings for me as I will stick around your blog to see what the new year brings you.
Wishing you a happy New Year’s Eve and see you on the other side. I leave you with my favourite pictures of 2012.

so glad we got to know each other better in 2012.
Im here here to help help on 1.2.13:-)
I love how you keep all the numbers…..its quite inspirational…..well done.
I’ll be here for 2013….going no where….x
Happy New Year Fran!
I’ll be with you on the weight loss in 2013.
My favorite picture above? The one with you and R rolling pasta!
I look at all those photos and think what a spectacular year you had Fran! Seriously, focus on that and not on all those numbers up there. 2013 is a chance for a do-over with that stuff but the memories of 2012 will never be made again. Enjoy them.
Happy New Year!
Wow! What a lot of great photos! I admire you for putting your weight out there. I have not even stepped on my scales but my clothes aren’t fitting and it isn’t good. I am going to start Jan. 2 too and I need to figure out how to do those gray days – where I am sort of good. Now if I am bad I am horrible! Wrong mind set.
Love the pics of Bella. Keep them coming. Good idea to keep track of all the walking you do with her. That counts!
Happy 2013!
You are another blogger I read who really seems to go for the gusto in living life – look at everything you did in just one year! I’m impressed, exhausted and a tiny bit jealous, just seeing your pictures.
I agree with Helen – weight loss is secondary to your experiences, so don’t let those numbers detract from your spectacular year.
That said, it looks like a lot of us are going to be changing things up as we Get Lean in 2013 (is my motto taking off worldwide yet? LOL).
In spite of some of the numbers disappointing you, you have still had a fabulous year. I hope 2013 brings you even more happy times in your life!
I like how you keep track of the numbers! I think I am going to do that but I will have to measure tomorrow. I can’t wait to see what you are going to do for 2013!!! Hope you have a great New Years Eve!!
Beautiful pictures and thanks for posting some photos of my country
I look forward to following your blog in 2013! Happy New Year to you and your family Giorgio. I hope 2013 is a good one for you.

Here’s to 2013! Happy new year, Fran!
Love your pix. I haven’t gotten onthe scale… You are great with those stats. Have a great 2013.
Happy 2013!
While you may not like the numbers, I think you were very active in 2012, and I especially enjoyed seeing all the different “other workouts” you did. Well done! You are really an inspiration to “mix things up” a bit more.
